People often reach us thinking we’re a program they’ve seen advertised elsewhere. Here’s who’s who.

What sets Homeless Cars apart from other Canadian car donation charities?

Homeless Cars keeps all funds localised and in support of food insecurity relief. Other organisations like Kidney Car, Donate-A-Car, or Kars4Kids either distribute the funds across the country to other causes, or support efforts in the United States.

What is the difference between Homeless Cars and Kars4Kids?

Homeless Cars is 100% Canadian, while Kars4Kids sends their funds to support programs in the United States.

Do you pay cash for cars?

No. As a registered charitable foundation we can’t pay cash. You get a free tow and a tax receipt. If your car has real resale value, selling it privately will likely put more money in your pocket, and we’ll tell you so if you call.

Do you sell or give away cars or parts?

No. We only pick up donated vehicles. We don’t sell cars or parts to the public.
