We make it easy to get rid of an unwanted car.

Dealing with an old, broken, or unwanted car sitting in your driveway is a hassle. Homeless Cars offers a fast, simple way to get rid of your vehicle while also supporting a deserving cause — and you receive a tax receipt for the value of your car. We accept cars, trucks, vans and SUVs in any condition — driveable or not.

Step 1

Call us or fill out this donation form in less than 2 minutes. A member of our team will call you.

Step 2

The only information we need to get started is your name, email address, phone number, and the year, make and model of the vehicle you wish to donate.

If you use our online donation form, a member of our team will call you back shortly to get more information.

Step 3

We coordinate with our tow truck drivers to arrange the contactless pick up of your vehicle within 24 and 48 hours. You do not have to be present during the pick up — you can leave the keys and ownership in the glove compartment, a nearby mailbox, or another location that’s convenient for you.

You are also welcome to drop your vehicle off at one of our donation centres in Hamilton and Woodstock. Driving your vehicle eliminates the towing expense, allowing us to ensure more of your car’s value gets into the hands of a local charity.

Step 4

In the month following when your vehicle has arrived at Homeless Cars, we will email you a charitable receipt for the value of your vehicle. Should you prefer it to be mailed, let us know.

We offer a fair appraisal for every donated vehicle, so you can feel good about supporting a worthy cause, and also that your donation is valued appropriately.

What Happens Next?

Homeless Cars is a registered Canadian foundation — not a middleman. That means that your generous donation is quickly turned into cash that supports the efforts of charities that combat homelessness in your community.
