Scrap, trade, sell or donate?

That is the million-dollar question, if you have an old vehicle you need to get rid of. We explore some potential avenues:

You could scrap your car at a local scrapyard for cash, but…

  •   You need to get it to the scrapyard and the car doesn’t drive. That’s a dilemma.

  •   You need to get it to the scrapyard but who can find the time to drive it there…. there is never enough time in the day

  •   The price of scrap is at an all time low so you really won’t get much money for it

  •   Of course, you could scrap that idea and donate your car to charity

You could trade in your car at the dealership, but…

  •   They aren’t offering you enough to make a difference to your purchase

  •   The car doesn’t drive and you would have to tow it there

  •   Or, you could make a difference to someone’s life by trading in that idea and donating your car to charity and feeling philanthropic in doing so

You could sell your car online, but…

  •  You’ll have to manage the onslaught of phone calls and emails

  •  You need to be available at all hours of the day to show it

  •  There is a safety issue with getting into a car with a stranger while they test drive your car (didn’t your mother teach you that in kindergarten?)

  •  You need to purchase a Used Vehicle Information Package

  •  You are far too busy to deal with this

Or, you could donate a car and change a life!

  • This is the fastest and easiest way to dispose of your car. Homeless Cars accepts all cars, vans, trucks, in any shape, any year, whether driveable or not.

  • Call us or complete our quick, simple donation form
