Step 2: Schedule the Pick-Up
When you call Homeless Cars at 1-833-465-7227, our representatives will walk you through…
What vehicle details we need,
Arranging a pickup on a date that works for you Monday-Friday,
And
Collecting the information needed for your tax receipt.
Step 3: The Day of Pick-Up
In Person Pick-Up
✔ Our tow driver will call you approximately 30 minutes before arrival
✔ You will hand the keys and signed vehicle portion of the ownership or registration to the tow driver
✔ You will be handed a receipt confirming the pick-up of your vehicle
✔ The entire pick-up will take less than 15 minutes
✔ You will receive an email the following morning confirming the vehicle has arrived safely
Contactless Pick-Up
✔ Leave the keys and the signed vehicle portion of the ownership in the glovebox
✔ Ensure the vehicle is in an accessible location such as a driveway or on the road in front of your home
✔ The tow driver will pick up your vehicle in less than 15 minutes
✔ You will receive an email the following morning confirming the vehicle has arrived safely
Step 3: Receive a Tax Receipt For Your Vehicle
Homeless Cars offers at least a $500 tax receipt for the donation of a vehicle. If your vehicle is worth more than $500, then Homeless Cars adjusts the tax credit to reflect a fair market value for your vehicle!
Your tax receipt is then emailed to you by the end of the month after your donation.
